Nineteen Fairfield High School juniors and seniors were inducted into the National Honor Society Nov. 6 in the FHS Auditorium. Current members, under the guidance of Jim Edgeton, prepared a ceremony to explain the four tenets of National Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service, including videos that showed those characteristics in action.
Principal Brian Stone assisted with the “tapping” of the new inductees, who were then invited to say the NHS pledge along with current members. After the ceremony, refreshments for members and their family members were served in the Commons. New inductees included: Maxx Anderson, Brittan Bowman, David Burrell-Burnett, Dallas Carlson , Emma Carlson, Kobe Cassens-Navesse, Cahrina Chang, Hannah Clubb, Abyni Garner, Megan Higgins, Alex Holden, Ahillan Kumar, Drew Martin, Katie McLain, Sophia Mineart, Ella Phillips, Allison Rebling, Calista Rowe, and Gabe Zimmer. They join current members Anatta Charoenkul, Ashley Bloomquist, Carson Crile, Mark Diers, Jillian Dunlap, Julia Fritz, Laurel Hilger, Kara Jeffrey, Madison Kraemer, Malory Jones, Dalton Rippey, and Jackson Weaton.
