Birmingham Lions Club hosting blood drive

BIRMINGHAM ? Birmingham Lions Club will host a community blood drive from 3-6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Birmingham Lions Building.


Donors who last gave blood on or before Nov. 16 are eligible to give at this drive. All presenting donors receive a voucher for a knit beanie or a $5 Starbucks e-gift card.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, although a 16-year-old can donate with parental permission; permission forms are available at www.bloodcenter.org. Donors must weigh more than 110 pounds and have a photo I.D. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure can be accepted as eligible donors.
