Buena Vista University
STORM LAKE -- Tanner Cook of Fairfield was recently honored at Buena Vista University?s annual Student Recognition Dinner.
Cook received an Academic Excellence Award as a fourth-year student. This Academic Excellence Award is given to students on the Storm Lake campus whose cumulative grade-point average is 3.75 or greater, representing approximately the top 10 percent of each class.
Cook was recognized for being a member of BVU?s Honors Program, which encourages students to develop their academic talents beyond the regular curriculum through specialized courses and an extensive research project.
Krista Tedrow of Batavia and Weylin Brown of Hedrick have been named to the BVU dean?s list for terms three and four. They both attend BVU?s Ottumwa site.
Wava Jarr of Fairfield was named to the BVU dean?s list for the spring 2018 semester. Students named to the dean?s list must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the semester, based on a 4.0 grade-point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

FAYETTE -- Krystle Shultz, a human services major from Eldon, has been named to Upper Iowa University?s dean?s list for the 2018 spring semester.
To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.
