Jordan Guezimane of Fairfield High School was awarded a $2,000 Community 1st Credit Union continuing education scholarship.
The credit union presented $42,000 to 19 area high school seniors.
The scholarship winners are C1st active members and were ranked at the top of 101 total applications submitted in categories including a representative for each of 16 C1st branches. Two $4,000 scholarships and 17 for $2,000 each were awarded.
The credit union has a tradition of supporting local communities and education through its scholarship program. C1st partnered with Scholarship America this year to enhance the program?s administration and application process. Scholarship America is a non-profit organization that partners with businesses to provide education assistance and recognition programs.
