A trio of organizations have teamed up for a diaper drive to benefit local children.
Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store, Jefferson County Public Health and The Fairfield Ledger invite the public to purchase diapers or wipes for the donation bin at Hy-Vee starting Tuesday through June 16. Monetary donations are also accepted. The goal is to collect enough diapers to help all the families served by Jefferson County Public Health.
Hy-Vee will host a fundraising diaper drive lunch between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 15. Dr Pepper and Snapple Group are supplying free beverages. Proceeds will go toward purchasing diapers and wipes.
Any business that donates during the lunch will be entered to win doughnuts for their office.
Hy-Vee store manager Lindsey Flanigan remarked, ?I?m blown away by the people and businesses in this community who always find a way to give back. This Diaper Drive is Hy-Vee?s opportunity to do our part and provide to those in need.?
