Duane C. Forinash, 74, of Packwood, died Saturday June 30, 2018, at Keota Heath Care Center. He was born in Washington April 25, 1944, to Duane "Doc" Cordell and Stella Arlene Smith Forinash. He grew up in Washington and Canoga Park, CA where he graduated from high school in 1963. Duane married Naomi Ferguson in Canoga Park December 18, 1964, and they moved to Packwood in 1967. He loved to farm, was an over the road truck driver and was for many years a member of the Lockridge Rough Riders.
Duane is survived by his wife, Naomi of Packwood, daughters: Megan Fritchen (Steve), Richland, Dana Shaull (Larry), Deep River and Melissa Manley (AJ), Fairfield, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Janet Forinash , Fairfield, Alice Althaus (Mike), Edgerton, MO and Cathy Askew (Dennis) Packwood, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday July 6, 2018, at Gould Funeral Home in Richland with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials are requested in lieu of flowers to the donor's choice and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to PO Box 855, Packwood, IA 52585.
