Evil must be exposed to be purified

To the editor:

Whatever you may have heard and understand about the recently exposed sex scandals in the hierarchy of (Roman) Catholic church, as a practicing Catholic following the developments I wish to share my views.

Evil has always existed, the ?kings of the earth, Satan and evil spirits that roam the world seeking the ruin of souls.? The present scandals date back some 70 years and most have been resolved.

There is no doubt that it is most serious and unacceptable! We are all responsible for allowing the culture of these times, ?power to corrupt? like everywhere, in everything! Good becomes evil and evil good, normalized and ?politically correct.?

Evil must be identified, exposed to be purified and redeemed, everyone taking part and responsibility. Silence, particularly from the churches, allowed the evil and tragedy of contraception leading to the fall of the sacredness of life itself, abortion, assisted suicide and euthanasia, our sexuality, pornography, gender confusion, disordered marriage, and so on! As well as spiritual and moral considerations, it?s a matter of science and common sense.

But it?s also a time of hope and renewal, restoration! Good must overcome evil, the vulnerable and innocent, those unborn and born, must be protected, according to the Constitution of our great country we are so blessed and privileged to enjoy, ?one nation under God, life, liberty and justice, the pursuit of happiness for all,? Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven! In God we trust! With prayer and fasting, action, taking part and responsibility we will overcome!
