This Saturday, Fairfield Parks and Recreation is hosting a morning full of free, condensed versions of all of the fitness classes they normally offer at the center located at 1000 W. Burlington Ave.
At 8:30 a.m. the fun starts with 30 minutes of POUND, ?the worlds first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums.?
9-9:30 a.m. is the low impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements of Pilates.
From 9:30 to 10 a.m. it won?t matter if you can dance or not as Zumba is offered, featuring a mix of current and Latin music.
B-fit will be offered from 10-10:30 a.m. and is described as a combination of bootcamp style exercises and crossfit movements, giving participants a ?total body workout.?
Grip, Groan and Giggle works on core strength from 10:30-11 a.m., followed by Self Care Yoga for 30 minutes starting at 11 a.m.
The last free class offered Saturday will be ?The Basics of Tai Chi,? an ancient Chinese tradition that has evolved over centuries to become a means of alleviating stress and anxienty.
