A community potluck celebrating the harvest and the farmers who grew it is planned Thursday at the Eco Barn at the S.E.E.D. Center.
Outdoor fun starts at 6 p.m. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a potluck item, made with ingredients from a local farmer, to share.
The evening will include a farmer appreciation and video montage, history of the Fairfield Farmers Market, growing nutrient-rich food for health and the ?Grow A Row? local initiative, and community news on the school garden Farm to School project.
The evening is sponsored by Sustainable Living Coalition, Southeast Iowa Food Hub, Southeast Iowa Sierra Club and Southeast Iowa Bionutrient Food Association Chapter.
