FFA receives Dakota Pipeline donation

The Dakota Access Pipeline LLC has made a $90,000 donation to the Iowa FFA Foundation.

The money has been split up among the FFA Chapters along the pipeline route.

The Fairfield FFA Chapter is receiving $1,427 of the $90,000.

This money does not have to be used for any specific purpose, so the FFA members have been planning what do with it.

Members of the Fairfield FFA Chapter have created a list of the items they plan to purchase with money they will receive. The chapter?s first priority is to purchase items for its food booth. These items include aprons, signs for menus, crockpots, and roasters.

They also plan to purchase two new Fairfield FFA vinyl signs to use on the food booth, floats, and at events.

The last priority is to use the money on contest materials like study guides for poultry judging contests and clip boards for other judging contests.

The Fairfield FFA Chapter members thank Dakota Access Pipeline for the donation because the money will be well spent on supplies that will help students learn and prepare for the real world. Without the donation, the chapter would not have been able to purchase some of these items, the members added.
