FHS students construct squares for FAA art project

Fairfield High School students, under the direction of industrial arts instructor Rob Mitchell, have constructed wooden square boxes for the Fairfield Art Association?s 10th annual summer art installation. These boxes will be transformed into artworks by some of the artists participating in the ?Squares Around the Square?  themed display in downtown Fairfield. Several artists are building their own version of squares so it will be a surprise exhibit for the public to enjoy.

Students with the 14-inch square boxes they constructed are, from left, Cohyn Roach-Summers, Juan Rojo, Adrian Paul, Jacob Bland, Carson Wells, Blake Metz and Kane Hook.
