Firefighters respond to smoke at SunnyBrook

The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm at SunnyBrook Assisted Living Care Center Monday morning.

Thirteen firefighters responded to the building at 10:39 a.m. and found smoke. They discovered the smoke was coming from a motor on an air compressor burning up. They used a pressure fan to ventilate the building, and about half an hour later they were back to the station.
