FMS honors February Students of Month

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School ?Students of the Month? award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school from assisting teachers and peers to displaying role model characteristics.


The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.


Fifth-grader Cody Birlson is a February Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?He works extremely hard each and every day putting his best effort into his work and doing well in class. He can be seen as a good role model following Trojan PRIDE in the classroom and hallway daily. He works hard and tries his very best.?


Fifth-grader Haleigh Strickland is a February Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Haleigh comes to school each day with a good attitude and a willingness to learn. She is a great example of Trojan PRIDE to her classmates. ... count on her to do the right thing and be prepared for class each day. Haleigh treats others with kindness and respect.?


Sixth-grader David Creer is a February Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?David is an extremely hard worker who strives to do his best at all times. He chooses to do the right thing and is a great example of Trojan PRIDE through his actions and words.?


Sixth-grader Shreya Mallick is a February Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?After moving two years ago from her native country of Nepal to the U.S., Shreya has made a smooth transition into our FMS home. Shreya sets high standards and goals for herself in learning, and pushes herself to do her very best. She isn?t afraid to ask questions, and often goes beyond what is expected. Shreya is kind, polite, and shows her Trojan PRIDE every day.?


Seventh-grader Ana Carminhato is a February Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Ana consistently brings her smile and positivity to everything that she does. She works hard and pushes herself to do better. She is willing to lead and is respectful to all students.?


Eighth-grader Emma Winkelman is a February Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Emma is a hard worker who consistently gets assignments done. She works well with others and often takes on a leadership roll within her small groups. She participates in class discussions, raising interesting alternate viewpoints that force everyone else to look at ideas in new ways.?


Eighth-grader Seth Brader is a February Student of the Month. His certificate states he ?has been showing Trojan PRIDE in the classroom. The eighth grade team has been proud of his dedication to coming to class prepared both mentally and physically, as well as his work ethic in the classroom. Seth does what he is supposed to do when he is supposed to do it, and makes sure to get his assignments turned in on time.?
