FMS honors ?Students of the Month? for March

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School ?Students of the Month? award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.


Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team


Grace Lyon is a fifth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states ?Grace always puts extra effort into everything she does. She has shown great growth in all academic areas, especially her writing. When working in a group, she is on task and is a good leader. Grace always has a positive attitude, and she is respectful to adults as well as peers. She does a great job of participating in class!?


Ethan Cass is a fifth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states he ?comes to school with a positive attitude each day. He has a drive for learning and soaks up knowledge. He puts in great effort in all that he does and wants to become the best learner he can be. Ethan is trustworthy and responsible. I also appreciate his lighthearted humor!?


Kayla Reinier is a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states ?Kayla eagerly comes to class prepared to learn every day. She is respectful to others and puts her best effort into all that she does. Kayla is not afraid to ask questions for clarification, and powers through problems, even when things aren?t easy for her. She is a positive example of Trojan PRIDE.?


Carson Rubey is a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states ?Carson is respectful to his teachers and classmates. He comes to class prepared and is dependable. The teachers appreciate his positive attitude and willingness to help in the classroom.?


Mesa Canaday is a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states she ?is a quiet leader. She leads by example and embodies integrity. She?s also a hard worker, and a great contributor to a group, holding her teammates accountable. Teachers can also rely on her quality of work. It is thorough and detailed and she sincerely applies feedback to her tasks.?


Jace Hannes is a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states he ?puts a lot of effort into being successful with his schoolwork. He takes the initiative to ask questions and does not hesitate to respectfully contribute to classroom conversations. Additionally, his positive attitude and sense of humor make his teachers smile on a daily basis!?


Gianna Koppen is an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states ?Gianna is respectful and conscientious in the classroom and out. She leads by example, turning in high-quality work on time all the time. Friendly and unassuming, she is quick to smile, in her seat and ready for work when the bell rings. Her attitude is always positive and ?I can do that.??


Sam Harris-Ulin is an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states ?A quiet leader who sets a good example, Sam exemplifies PRIDE in all areas and at all times. He works hard and is always punctual with work. We are so proud to recognize Sam?s hard work with this award.?
