Four locals compete at Corn Cobb Nationals

Several local wrestlers traveled to Des Moines the weekend of March 17 to compete at the Corn Cobb Nationals at the Jacobson Center.

Jonah Cooper wrestled in the 115 pound high school division, going 1-2 while Caleb Heisel went 0-2 wrestling in the 163 pound bracket.

Brendon Lunsford finished third at high school heavyweight with a 5-1 record, and then on Sunday his brother, Fairfield Assistant coach Bryce Lunsford, joined him as the brothers wrestled in the college open division. Bryce went 2-2 and missed the podium by a win and Brendon went 3-2 and placed fifth.
