Free film Friday at library

Fairfield Public Library will show a free movie Friday.

The movie is a 2017 American comedy-drama film based on the 2010 novel of the same name by W. Bruce Cameron. A devoted dog discovers the meaning of its own existence through the lives of the humans it teaches to laugh and love. Reincarnated as multiple canines over the course of five decades, the lovable pooch develops an unbreakable bond with the kindred spirit of a young boy. As the boy grows older and comes to a crossroad, the dog once again comes back into his life to remind him of his true self.

The movie is rated PG. It runs 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Doors open at 7 p.m.; the film begins at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited.

Donations for the film and organic popcorn help the library to renew its movie licenses.
