Free music program planned April 22

The Fairfield First United Methodist Church will present a music program at 7:30 p.m. April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

The concert, titled ?That Old Time Religion, It?s Good Enough For Me,? will feature the choir, small groups, soloists, and instrumentalists on some of the best-loved songs from gospel music.

The 35-voice choir will present a variety of music from Bill and Gloria Gaither and other choral arrangements of old classics and new gospel songs from Christian music composers Larry Schackley, Mary McDonald, and Joel Rainey.

The program will include solos from Jeri Kunkle and Torie Hollingsworth, a duet with Dee Ann Lantz and Tena Edlin, a quartet of Chris Davis, Jon Huff, Tom Vorhees, and Jim Edgeton singing from the Gaither Vocal Band songbook. Two instrumentalists, LeAnne Edgeton on piano and Fred Hucke on trumpet, also will present solos during the concert.

There also will be hymns where the audience will be invited to sing along with the choir.

The concert is free to the public.
