Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary is offering a free baby-sitting course 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 21 in the health center?s conference room.
The Super Sitter class is open to all fifth-grade boys and girls in Jefferson County.
Marty Chandler, health and wellness coordinator of JCHC, will teach the group first aid and infant/child development skills. The Fairfield Fire Department will share fire safety tips.
Participants will be given a multiple-choice test at the end of the course and receive a certificate and tote bag.
Students are asked to bring a sack lunch. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
The course is offered once a year. Names of students are not shared for baby-sitting referrals.
Registration forms will be sent home with students from school. Signed registration forms are due by April 12 to: JCHC Auxiliary, PO Box 588, Fairfield 52556. Do not return the forms to school.
