Greater Fairfield Area Habitat for Humanity will hold a dedication at its recently completed home at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The home is located at 505 W. Madison Ave. The public is invited to attend, and can tour the home following the dedication.
The home is the second one constructed in partnership with students from Fairfield High School. The students in the class constructed most of the home along with assistance from their instructor, local contractors, the prospective homeowner and Habitat volunteers.
Habitat for Humanity partners with families to provide simple and decent housing. All partner families are required to contribute ?sweat equity? toward their home by working on such things as construction of the home, completing required trainings and volunteering at local non-profits. Habitat homeowners make monthly payments on a no-interest mortgage, which in turn will go toward building more Habitat homes.
