Honor Brunch at Libertyville; Corn Hole tournament planned; Lenten service at Word of Life

Honor Brunch set in Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE ? Faith United Methodist Church will have an Honor Brunch following its 10:30 a.m. worship service Feb. 25.

The Libertyville City Council, mayor, fire department, EMT, police and community are invited to worship and brunch.

Brunch will include biscuits and gravy, French toast, coffee cake and fruit.


Corn Hole tournament planned

First Baptist Church will have a Corn Hole tournament beginning at 4 p.m. Feb. 24.

The entry fee is $10 for each two-person team, and is due upon arrival at the contest. The proceeds will support the church campership fees to attend Forest Lake Camp.

People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate.

A trophy will be awarded to the tournament champions. A special prize will be given for the most creative team name.

Lenten service at Word of Life

Word of Life Lutheran Church is inviting everyone to attend its midweek Lenten services at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays as it explores the question of Jesus?s identity from the perspective of those who encounter him.

Wednesday, those attending will overhear the conversation between Pontius Pilate and Caiafas, the High Priest.

A Lenten meal will be served by the Word of Life worship team at 5:30 p.m. prior to the service.
