Human remains found in burnt car near Pulaski

BLOOMFIELD ? Human remains have been found inside a burned out vehicle in Davis County.

The remains were found Saturday when the Davis County Law Enforcement received a 911 call at 10:30 a.m. in reference to a burned out car. According to a news release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety, a local farmer had discovered the vehicle in the 27000 block of Vetch Avenue, near Pulaski. The vehicle was located in a farm lane off a dirt road.

Upon investigating the burned out vehicle, law enforcement discovered human remains. The remains were transported to the Office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny for an autopsy. The autopsy will be conducted this week and the results will be released later.

The case is being investigated by the Davis County Sheriff?s office, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, State Fire Marshall?s office, Iowa Department of Transportation and the Davis County Attorney and the Office of State Medical Examiner.
