HUSH fundraiser Sunday
First Presbyterian Church will host a luncheon Sunday to benefit the Fairfield Community School District?s Help Us Stop Hunger program.
The meal will be served following the 10 a.m. Fifth Sunday Jazz Service.
The menu includes chicken and gravy over biscuits, salad, pie and drink.
Proceeds from the freewill offering collected for the lunch will be donated to the HUSH program. The program was created to help pay off the negative balance in some students? school lunch accounts.
Everyone is invited to attend the jazz service and the lunch.
Gamma Circle meeting
The Gamma Circle of First Presbyterian Church will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday at SunnyBrook Assisted Living.
Vera Young will be the hostess. Evelyn Bradfield will have devotions, and Marshan Roth will have the program.
Crooked Creek Wild set May 5
WASHINGTON, Iowa ? Crooked Creek Christian Camp will host the second annual challenge-course run May 5.
Participants will experience the ?wilds? of Crooked Creek as they climb through mud, cross the creek and encounter several obstacles ? some handmade, some natural. A junior course will be available.
A freewill donation lunch will follow the event.
The purpose of Crooked Creek Wild is to raise money for the summer camp fund which provides funds for: families who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of camp; summer staff stipends; and special summer camp activities.
