Ice cream social; Family movie night; Ladderball workshop; Vacation Bible school begins Monday

Ice cream social set

KEOSAUQUA ? An ice cream social is planned at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Lebanon United Methodist Church in rural Keosauqua.

Seven flavors of homemade ice cream, pie and cake will be served for a free will offering.

Family movie night set

Fairfield Friends Church will host a family movie night at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

A second family movie night is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 27.

The viewing is open to the community.

Register for ladderball workshop

First Baptist Church will have a ladderball make-and-take event at 2 p.m. June 16.

The materials, cut and ready to be painted and assembled, will be provided.

The cost is $25 per set, but because organizers want this to be as much about making memories as it is making the game itself, the cost will be dropped by $5 for every family member present, which means a family of five can leave with their own ladderball game for free.

The event is open to the community, but to make sure enough materials are provided, registration is required.

To register or for information, contact Jamie Gates at 919-3177 or by Thursday.
