Immanuel Lutheran celebrates Reformation anniversary with walk

Immanuel Lutheran Church is celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 with a Reformation Walk.

The event is to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther, a German monk who 500 years ago, nailed his ?95 Theses? on the door of the City Church in Wittenberg, Germany.

He challenged the Roman Catholic?s view on ?Indulgences? and the debate changed the world.

?Find out more about the Reformation as you travel back 500 years,? said the Rev. Mark Brace, of Immanuel Lutheran.

?You will experience the sights, sounds and tastes of life during the time of Martin Luther. You may arrive anytime between 2-3:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.?
