June C. Wagner, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 4, 2018. June?s Lutheran faith was always strong and she now resides in a better place. June was born in Janesville, WI on March 5, 1925. June met Owen R. Wagner in Milwaukee, WI and they married in 1952 and lived in Port Washington, WI for the first six years of their marriage. The Wagners lived in Fairfield, IA from 1968 through 1980. They retired and returned to Wisconsin in 2004.
June lovingly raised her four children: Barbara Adam (Richard) of Albuquerque, NM; Nancy McElrath of Denver, CO; Kay (Terry) Steele of Fairfield, IA; and David (Stephanie) Wagner of North Prairie, WI. In the early 1970s, she owned and operated the popcorn stand on the northeast corner of the Fairfield square. She helped run the Fairfield Little League and Babe Ruth Snack Shacks and assisted at Fairfield Booster Club events.
June enjoyed life and always had a positive attitude. She loved to read and travel. June loved to play bridge and cribbage. She taught all her children and grandchildren how to play cribbage.
June is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her twin sister Jeanette Ziebell, and her sister-in-law Vera Rauch. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother Don.
A celebration of June?s life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Rd. Waukesha, WI.
