Libertyville UMW lunch, tour planned

LIBERTYVILLE ? The United Methodist Women of Faith United Methodist Church will have lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mike and Nikki?s Pizza and Steakhouse.


Following lunch, the group will tour the Carnegie Historical Museum.


 


?Come to Supper? meal Tuesday evening


A free meal will be served to anyone in need from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church.

Sandwiches and Sundaes in Batavia


BATAVIA ? Batavia United Methodist Church will have Sandwiches and Sundaes from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 19 at the church.


The menu will include loose-meat sandwiches, chips, drinks and sundaes.


A free-will offering will be collected for the church?s mission and outreach projects.


Everyone is welcome to attend.


 


Vacation Bible school set in Libertyville


LIBERTYVILLE ? Faith United Methodist Church will have vacation Bible school from 5:30-8 p.m. Aug. 21-23, with each evening being with a light meal.


The theme for the vacation Bible school is ?Sweetness of God?s Word.? Preschoolers through sixth-graders will discover the sweetness of God?s word as they learn they can make a difference, explore how to serve God daily and experience God?s presence in their lives.


Daily crafts, games, lessons, songs and praise will create the skills and confidence needed to act and grow with God.


Organizers say there will be lots of sweets.
