Fairfield Public Library will show a free movie Friday.
The movie is a 2017 American drama that follows an intellectually gifted 7-year-old who becomes the subject of a custody battle between her uncle and grandmother. Frank Adler is a single man raising a child prodigy ? his spirited young niece Mary ? in a coastal town in Florida. Frank?s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the girl?s mathematical abilities come to the attention of his formidable mother, Evelyn, whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
The movie is rated PG-13 for thematic elements, language and some suggestive material. The movie runs for one hour and 41 minutes.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the film begins at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited.
Donations for the free film and organic popcorn help the library to renew its movie licenses.
The library?s license do not allow the movie title to be advertised.
