Marlene Ann Jack

Marlene Ann Jack, 65, of Keosauqua passed away on February 27, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 19, 1953 to Paul and Lorrene Lancaster Jack in Keosauqua, Iowa. Marlene spent the first several years of her life in Mount Sterling, Iowa. She graduated from Van Buren County High School in 1971 and continued her education at Indian Hills Community College where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse.


Marlene spent her career as an LPN, she was dedicated and could always be relied upon to get the job done. She was a member of the Zion Bible Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on February 27, 2014, exactly four years to the date of her passing. Marlene loved flowers, wildlife and being outdoors. She enjoyed watching the birds and sitting in her peaceful garden that she had in her backyard. Marlene had a great love for her nieces and nephews and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.


She is survived by a sister, Pat (Mike) Christensen of Keosauqua, Iowa; a brother, Lewis Jack of Des Moines, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Abbey Yarnell, Kolby Schmelzer, Kelly Yarnell, Trever Jack, Tyler Johnston; great nieces and nephews, Kilee Williams, Jaydin Scharf, Tavin Scharf, Tayte Schmelzer, and Dado Gassama.


She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew-in-law, Brian Schmelzer.


Per Marlene?s wishes, her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Zion Bible Church with Pastor Phil Ross officiating. Burial will follow the services in Zion Lutheran Cemetery East of Douds, Iowa.
