Masons offer scholarships
The Grand Masonic Lodge of Iowa announces academic and trade scholarships are available.
Last year, The Grand Masonic Lodge of Iowa awarded more than 60 scholarships, each worth $2,000, to high school seniors.
The local Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 15 announces that two of the $2,000 scholarships are available for Fairfield and surrounding area high school seniors.
One scholarship is for academic performance with the principal criterion being the student?s record of service to school and community. Special emphasis is upon leadership roles in these areas. It is open to all seniors planning to attend any state-accredited two- or four-year college program.
The other is a technical scholarship for students who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa community college.
