Monday is sad anniversary

To the editor:

Monday, Jan. 22, marks a very sad day in our nation?s history. On that date, 45 years ago, it became legal to kill your unborn child at any point during pregnancy for any reason.

In their 2016/2017 annual report, Planned Parenthood reported they killed 321,384 unborn children and were rewarded for this with $543.7 million in taxpayer funding.

How have we become SO heartless? When did we become a nation that so callously and without concern ends the lives of unborn human beings -- and actually celebrates this so-called ?right to choose to end an innocent life??

Every single one of us -- at one time -- was an unborn baby in our mother?s womb. Let us have compassion on the unborn child; let us meet the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancies; let us encourage adoption whereby the child can live and the mother is spared the heartbreak of knowing she killed her unborn child.

Every human life that is conceived is a miracle. How heartbreaking that over 3,000 abortions take place EACH day in the United States, and that counts only the surgical abortions.

This does not count chemically-induced abortions.

Look up 2 Chronicles 7:14. Pray that God will forgive us. Remember, love saves lives. We must end abortion!
