In the Fairfield Community School District, students will not have classes Wednesday, but staff will have professional development. No classes will be held Thursday or Friday.
Pekin Community School District will have Thanksgiving break Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Cardinal Community School District will not have classes Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The district also will not have classes Monday; teachers professional development is planned.
Van Buren Community School District will not have school Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Fairfield City Hall will be closing at noon Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday.
Jefferson County Courthouse will be closed Thursday and Friday.
The U.S. Postal Service is closed Thursday, and regular mail is not delivered on Thanksgiving.
Fairfield Public Library is closing at noon Wednesday and will remain closed Thursday. The library will resume regular hours Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fairfield?s Roosevelt Community Recreation Center, including its Roosevelt Aquatic Center and Cambridge SportsPlex, will be closed Thursday. The facility will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and then 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
Waste Management is closed Thursday. Trash and recycling pickup will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.
Senior meal sites, including the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center, are closed Thursday and Friday, and no meals will be served.
