To the editor:
A big part of Christmas for many families and communities are the traditions or customs that are passed on from generation to generation.
Sometimes we are not aware of how the act or belief even started or of how long we have been doing some of these. Then again, some of us are able to remember when a tradition got started and help to carry it on so that the coming generations can benefit.
Along those lines we have started a new community tradition in Packwood.
The Packwood Post Mistress will bring cookies to the Packwood Post Office each day in December.
As a community we are having an excellent response to our newest tradition.
We look forward to passing this tradition on to our youth in the community. Now ? if we could just get one more person to participate?
