The Trojan softball team fell 3-2 in eight innings in game one Monday night at Fort Madison and 6-4 in a failed comeback attempt in the second game.
Fort Madison grabbed a 1-0 advantage in the first frame, but Fairfield regained the lead in the third with RBI by both Ashtyn Drish and Grace Stever in the inning.
The Bloodhounds tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a run before both teams went scoreless for a combined seven at-bats before the ?hounds walked off with a run in the eighth.

Allison Rebling took the loss after allowing eight hits and six walks while striking out 13 batters.
Fairfield went from five hits in game one to 12 in game two but the Trojans still couldn?t hold on as they lost two leads in a 6-4 loss.
The first four batters, Lily Hoskins, Allison Rebling, Ashtyn Drish and Hannah Simpson all had two hits in their four plate-appearances with Drish also drawing a walk.
Unfortunately, the bottom half of the order went 4-19, although they did have three-quarters of both the team?s runs scored and batted in.
Drish took the loss after leaving with two out in the fifth. She allowed six runs, five earned, on four hits and eight walks with four strikeouts.
Rebling threw 1 1/3 innings of relief and allowed no runs on one hit and a walk with three strikeouts as well.
The team is now 12-19 and travels to Burlington tonight for a makeup doubleheader against the Greyhounds before returning home Thursday to face Keokuk.
