SHERIFF


Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office reports the following incident:


Sunday


5:22 p.m. ? Angela Marie Castellanos, 46, of Hillsboro was driving a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer and struck a deer in the 2500 block of Glasgow Road. The vehicle entered the ditch on the west side of the road. Damage was estimated at $6,000. Castellanos was charged with driving while license under suspension.

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at dispatch:

6:02 a.m. ? A misdialed 911 call was received.


8:32 a.m. ? A verbal warning for failure to stop, no insurance and no driver?s license was issued in the 600 block of West Jackson.


8:47 a.m. ? A verbal warning for failure to stop was issued at Sixth and Washington.


9:07 a.m. ? Traffic violations were reported in the 600 block of East Broadway.


10:49 a.m. ? A controlled substance was reported in the 300 block of South Maple.


11:02 a.m. ? A civil matter was reported in the 200 block of East Hempstead.


12:04 p.m. ? Police assisted with a disabled vehicle in the 600 block of South Main.


12:54 p.m. ? A misdialed 911 call was received.


1:21 p.m. ? James Fisher, 34, of Oskaloosa, was arrested in the 600 block of West Monroe on a warrant from Wapello County for driving under suspension.


1:27 p.m. ? Destruction/damage/vandalism of property in the 1000 block of South Main was investigated.


4:25 p.m. ? A welfare check was requested.


7:00 p.m. ? An animal was reported in 200 block of North 28th Street.


8:03 p.m. ? A vehicle was stopped for a broken headlight at Ninth and Kirkwood. A verbal warning was issued.


8:10 p.m. ? A welfare check was requested.


9:05 p.m. ? Shane McBride, 29, of Fairfield was arrested in the 50 block of East Burlington on charged of possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, second offense.


10:58 p.m. ? An animal was reported in the 100 block of West Madison.


11:53 p.m. ? A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in the 300 block of West Harrison.
