Run-away girls found in Coralville

AGENCY ? Two girls ran away from the Agency Shelter Care last week and were found five days later in Coralville.

Agency Shelter Care learned at approximately 9 p.m. on June 19 that two juvenile females had absconded from the shelter, and later discovered that a vehicle from the shelter was missing, too.

Five days later at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Coralville Police Department received a call from security at the Coralridge Mall after one of the girls told mall security she was a runaway.

Both girls were taken to the Coralville Police Deparment, and the missing vehicle was recovered.

Both girls were charged with second degree theft, a Class ?D? felony, and have been transferred to the Lee County Detention Center in Montrose.
