Seed Treatment Course set for pesticide applicators

The Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach office is offering a Seed Treatment Course for commercial pesticide applicators Feb. 28.

The course will be providing continuing instruction credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 4 and 10.

Topics to be covered include equipment calibration and safe application techniques; pests, pest management and pesticides; and issues concerning treated seed, including disposal of unused treated seed.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the course runs from 9-11 a.m. at the Extension office.

The registration fee is $35 on or before Wednesday or $45 after Wednesday.
