Submissions are sought for the third season of ?The Film Lounge,? a television series showcasing short, independent films by Iowa artists and celebrating the economic and cultural vitality that filmmaking brings to the state.
The show is produced by Iowa Public Television in partnership with the Iowa Arts Council and Produce Iowa, the state office of media production.
The first season featured two, one-hour episodes that premiered on IPTV in 2017, and the second season aired in February. Both are online at iptv.org/filmlounge.
Submission deadline for Season 3 is June 1.
Iowa filmmakers can submit short films ? two to 20 minutes ? in: animation, art, documentary, experimental, music video and narrative.
Applicants will be notified by Aug. 1. Selections will be announced Sept. 1.
Season 3 will air in February 2019. Selected films will receive a $500 stipend from the Department of Cultural Affairs.
