Naturalist Brittney Tiller will be tagging monarch butterflies this fall and invites volunteers to help.
Tiller never knows when the monarchs will be passing through, so volunteers have to be willing to drop things at a moment?s notice.
Anyone interested in volunteering, email Jefferson County Naturalist Therese Cummiskiey at email@example.com and sign up to be notified by email or text when the tagging will take place.
Each fall, Monarch Watch distributes more than a quarter of a million tags to thousands of volunteers across North America who tag monarchs as they migrate through the area. The project helps scientists understand the dynamics of the monarch?s spectacular fall migration.
