Travel Expo Tuesday evening at Fairfield Public Library

Fairfield Public Library is hosting a Travel Expo 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

It was decided to offer a free educational travel event because, last year, Jefferson County Recorder?s office processed 359 new passports, 260 renewals and took 384 passport photos, plus the library?s travel books are popular, and its online foreign language tutorials are actively used.

Attendees will receive an event ?passport.? They can visit booths manned by experts on a wide range of travel topics: How to pack like a ninja, apply for a passport, meet TSA guidelines, convert currency, travel on a budget, enjoy group learning adventures, use safety measures, travel with a pet, get an international driver?s license, rent a foreign car, and more.

Completed passports can be entered into a drawing for travel prizes.
