Trick-or-treat hours

Youngsters will don their masks, fangs and capes as they go door-to-door in search of goodies Halloween night, Tuesday.

Residents who wish to give out candy are encouraged to keep their porch lights on during trick-or-treat hours. Here are the hours for trick-or-treating in local towns, all of which are for Tuesday unless otherwise noted:


Fairfield: 5:30-8 p.m.

Libertyville: 5-7:30 p.m. The annual Halloween parade and activities are canceled this year since the town just celebrated its 175th anniversary with a parade.

Batavia: 6-8 p.m.

Eldon: 6-8 p.m.

Keosauqua: 5-7 p.m.

Birmingham: 6-8 p.m.

Cantril: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday

Douds: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday

Farmington: On Monday, with a curfew of 7 p.m.

Pleasant Plain: 5-8 p.m. Monday

Lockridge: 5-7 p.m.

Packwood: 5-8 p.m.
