The Fairfield five that swim for Ottumwa High had their first swim meet of the season Tuesday night, a duel against Dowling Catholic.
Jackson Weaton and Kevin Kretz competed on the 400 yard freestyle relay team that finished second in 3:33.96.
Weaton also swam the 200 yard free in 2:02.37, good for second place with Evan Huff finishing fifth in 2:31.08 and Evan Masterson coming in sixth in 2:32.95.
Dylan Barras finished fifth in the 200 yard individual medley in a time of 2:34.95.
Kretz swam the 50 yard free in 23.95 for second place and the 100 free in 52.18 for third, while Weaton also swam the 100, but finished second just ahead of Kretz with a time of 51.94.
Huff swam the 500 free in 7:40.16 for fourth place with the other Evan, Masterson, just behind him in fifth in 7:42.37.
Kretz and Weaton made up half of the 200 free relay that finished first of five teams in 1:34.59 while Barras swam the 100 back in 1:05.75 for a second place finish.
