CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS: Super Sitter class

Marty Chandler, health and wellness coordinator at Jefferson County Health Center, tells the Super Sitter class about infant and child development skills. Thirty-two fifth-graders from Fairfield Middle School, Pekin Elementary and Maharishi School learned about babysitting, first aid, CPR and fire safety tips. Each student was tested and presented a certificate for completing the course. The students also were given a first aid manual, a lanyard and backpack. The Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary sponsored the free class Saturday, with  Kathy Horn as the coordinator and Susan Muntz and Connie Ferrell assisting.
