Fairfield Girl Scouts plan vigil for scouts, leader killed in Wisconsin

Fairfield Girl Scouts will be participating in a nationwide vigil service in honor of the Girl Scouts and their leader who died Saturday in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

The vigil will take place at 3 p.m. at the Fairfield Girl Scout Cabin in Old Settlers Park adjacent to Waterworks Park.

All community members, Girl Scouts and leaders, past and present, are invited to attend.

Three fourth-graders and a parent were struck and killed by a pickup truck that left the road while they picked up trash along a rural highway in western Wisconsin.
