Libertyville Halloween parade Saturday.

This year marks the 46th Libertyville Halloween Parade, which is dedicated to Sandra Stump.

Stump, who died recently, was a big supporter of the parade and many years showed up in costume for all to wonder who was behind that disguise.

The Halloween Parade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, with costume judging at 12:45 p.m. The parade will begin at the former school, now a childcare center, led by the Fairfield Middle School Marching band.

Events will be going on throughout the day. A pancake breakfast will be served from 7–10 a.m. at the Libertyville Fire Station. Vendors with a variety of goods to sell and show will be set up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former school. A free-will offering lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the same place and sponsored by the Libertyville Community Center.

In case of rain, the lunch and parade will be moved to the fire station.

An “open to all” kickball tournament will begin a 2 p.m. at the Libertyville Little League Park. The $20 per team entry fee will go toward the Libertyville Community Center. Guests are encouraged to bring their friends and co-workers to this family-friendly game, where all ages are welcome.
