The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

Friday

7:31 a.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 100 block of East Burlington.

8:31 a.m. — A business in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road was contacted about theft.

11:27 a.m. — Police investigated drunkenness-public intoxication in the 600 block of East Burlington.

12:02 p.m. — Police investigated a burglary/breaking and entering in the 900 block of South Main.

2:23 p.m. — Vandalism was reported in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.

2:50 p.m. — A business in the 2700 block of West Burlington was contacted about theft.

3:50 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of West Burlington.

5:12 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist in the 500 block of South Second.

7:05 p.m. — A parking concern was reported in the 500 block of North Fourth. The vehicle was towed.

7:19 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of East Washington. Police checked the area.

8:03 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Court and Broadway for a stop sign violation and a brake light outage.

8:42 p.m. — A written warning was issued at Ninth and Briggs for failure to yield right of way. A verbal warning was issued for no insurance.

11:23 p.m. — Police investigated theft in the 1100 block of South Second.

Saturday

12:07 a.m. — Harassment was reported in the 400 block of North Main.

2:14 a.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.

3:19 a.m. — Stolen property was recovered at Wilson and D.

5:34 a.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1600 block of West Burlington.

8:31 a.m. — Police kept the peace in the 300 block of West Washington.

10:06 a.m. — Phone harassment was reported in the 500 block of East Buchanan.

11 a.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 300 block of South Court.

12:37 p.m. — Burglary/breaking and entering was investigated in the 200 block of East Fillmore.

1:58 p.m. — Police assisted the Department of Correctional Services, Eighth Judicial District, with adult probation.

2:26 p.m. — Police checked a building in the 600 block of West Depot.

2:56 p.m. — Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office spoke with police about a lost person.

3:57 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 900 block of Fairview Drive.

4:30 p.m. — Phone harassment was reported in the 100 block of West Adams.

5:27 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 800 block of North 10th.

7:04 p.m. — Mt. Pleasant Police Department spoke with police about a runaway.

7:12 p.m. — A lost-and-found item was reported in the 400 block of West Burlington.

7:43 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist in the 2200 block of US 34. A trailer detached from a truck. Mike’s Towing & Recovery was able to tow the trailer out of the ditch.

8:14 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Second and Burlington for unlawful passing.

9:43 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of West Washington.

9:58 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at Ninth and Hempstead.

11:01 p.m. — Possible phone harassment was reported in the 800 block of West Tyler.

Sunday

7:46 a.m. -- A wildlife deer kill was reported on the Maharishi University of Management campus.

8:08 a.m. -- Police investigated a burglary at a storage facility.

9:38 a.m. -- A municipal infractions citation was issued at Second and Burlington for a traffic violation.

9:50 a.m. -- An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of South Second.

9:54 a.m. -- Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 800 block of Fairview Drive.

11:03 a.m. -- An alarm sounded in the 300 block of South 20th.

11:22 a.m. -- Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 700 block of South Eighth.

12:01 p.m. -- Police checked a garage in the 700 block of West Harrison for burglary. There was no burglary.

1:54 p.m. -- A juvenile issue was reported in the 400 block of East Fillmore.

1:56 p.m. -- Psychiatric behavior was reported in the 200 block of East Hempstead.

1:57 p.m. -- A civil dispute was reported in the 500 block of West Jefferson. Theft was reported.

2:30 p.m. -- Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at Washington and Main.

2:51 p.m. -- A parking concern was reported in the 300 block of South 17th.

3:06 p.m. -- Police investigated theft-shoplifting in the 2700 block of West Burlington. At 3:35 p.m., Ketra Sue Howard, 49, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft.

3:42 p.m. -- Sudden death and body was reported in the 600 block of South Main.

4:06 p.m. -- An arrest on a warrant was made in the 200 block of East Hempstead.

4:21 p.m. -- An animal concern was reported at Fifth and Madison.

4:46 p.m. -- An animal concern was reported in the 1100 block of South Fifth.

5:36 p.m. -- A parking concern was reported in the alley at Third and Burlington.

7:42 p.m. -- Police were asked to perform a welfare check in the 2300 block of Walton Lake Road.
